Julia Ericsson has comprehensive experience of litigation concerning intellectual property, in particular patents but also other IP rights. Julia is also experienced in handling disputes regarding trade secrets and marketing law.

Julia is a registered representative before the Unitary Patent Court (UPC) and represents several clients in infringement and invalidity proceedings before the Nordic Baltic Regional Division of the UPC. Julia’s experience also covers inter alia cross-border patent litigation covering several jurisdictions, complex copyright and trade secret litigation involving multiple infringement investigations and interim proceedings, as well as litigation regarding trademarks and marketing law. She also provides general strategic advice regarding intellectual property and marketing law matters.

Julia represents clients in all field of technology (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, mechanical, electronical, telecom and software).

Julia is a board member and vice president of EPLAW (European Patent Lawyers Association). EPLAW is a non-profit making association of experienced patent lawyers in the European community with the aim of promoting the equitable and efficacious handling of patent disputes across Europe. Julia is also author to several publications in the patent field.

Julia is ranked by various ranking guides since many years. She is ranked as a Leading patent professional in the category patent litigation (silver) by IAM Patent 1000 (2024), and as a Patent Star by Managing IP (2024). She is also ranked as “Leading individual” in Intellectual property and media by Legal 500 (2024).
